This week, to coincide with Tax Day, the Star-Ledger published my article about the headache of filing taxes for same-sex couples who may be civil unioned in one state, married in another, and single in the eyes of the federal government. The story ran on the front-page of Monday’s paper.
The story also headlined in the Gay Politics Report newsletter, and prompted the Star-Ledger to write this editorial about the unfairness to same-sex couples.
I’m very proud of the article and hope that it sheds some light on the inequalities of non-recognized marriage.
